The heat sink highlighted here was manufactured for an aerospace customer. Composed of C11000 copper, this project required a high level of precision. We machined this component utilizing our state of the art precision CNC milling capabilities. The finished part measured 9″ in length, 4″ in width, and 0.5″ thick, the customer supplied drawings called out tolerances of ±0.0005″. After machining, each part was nickel plated per AMS 2404, they were then primed and had a matte finish epoxy coating applied.
