This aluminum chassis was designed for use in a military application, and highlights many of our manufacturing capabilities. The chassis was machined utilizing out precision CNC milling capabilities, and is composed 0.5” thick, 6061-T6 aluminum. After machining, chassis components were dip brazed, per AWS C3.7 Class B standards. The final dimensions were 11” in length, 6” in width, and 3” in height, it also met tolerances of ±0.001”. Finishing required multiple steps including chromate conversion coating per Mil-spec MIL-C-5541. The application of a primer coat per Mil-spec MIL-P-53022 Type II, and paint application per Mil-spec MIL-DTL-64159 CARC. Meeting all of these standards is just a small part of the value added services that we provide. Our facility is ISO 9001:2008 certified, with a culture of quality.
